Welcome to Skyloft Academy!

Set many decades after the events of Skyward Sword, some chunks of land managed to make their way to the sky from each part of the surface, forming Crescent reservoir, Chronos Desert and Obsidian ridge. The sky folks lived in peace, but forever wary of the threats that could come their way, the Knights Academy strived to train their youth in the image of the great hero to forever protect their homes and explore the abandoned surface realms.

After defeating the Timeshift dragon, holes appeared in the clouds that were previously keeping them confined to the sky. Opening up new areas and introducing races of entire civilisations that had been trapped beneath the clouds, unknown to the Sky folk. It will take some time to understand the new cultures but already the academy is integrating thier surface brethren into the academy.

Knights trained in Skyloft will be taught not only how to battle atop their trusty Loftwings, but also the combat skills they will need to protect themselves and others against any potential threats.

With the defeat of the Timeshift dragon the world is forever altered. 

The tornado violently explodes, throwing student, loftwing and islands into the purple lightning. For a moment you think you are dead, the warm light of Hylia engulfing your body and your wounds are healed. You feel better then you ever have as you slowly open your eyes. 

Skyloft is intact just as it was before the tornado appeared, each island bouncing above the clouds as though nothing had ever happened. The Headmistress is dashing about counting the students that were scattered across the island and breathing a sigh of relief when everyone was successfully accounted for. Finch had already given the instructors a quick de-brief of all that had happened and they were discussing this curiously between themselves. The citizens around could only guess what had happened as the students appeared out of nowhere in a flash of holy light. 

The field knights that were not taken with the students were rushing back to the academy, a flurry of feathers and Skyloftians surrounded the Headmistress and Finch. Chattering loudly. 

Overhearing a few bits and pieces there was one thing that was clear, there were new openings in the clouds under the Islands, the Skyloftians only protection from any surface dangers and an un-passable barrier for the loftwings. Instantly everyone was intrigued they had only ever known the few surface areas to be the entire of the lands below but now there was rumours of new lands, new people and unusual new creatures. 

All students who were not field knights were restricted from travelling to the new lands until contact had been made. It was almost a year later *, but after many new lessons based on the information the Knights had uncovered, the Headmistresses authorised new missions to the opened areas in co-operation with the new surface allies.
