List of Locations

To see images of the islands, please check out the resources gallery - Resources Gallery

The Sky

The main island in the sky. The Knight Academy is located here. The Statue of the Goddess was never restored or replaced. Instead due to the large amount of students, they built a 2nd Knight Academy dorm building there, with an enclosed walkway leading to the Academy for safe passage during the night. The Bazaar is still located on this island, and the people who hail from Skyloft are descendants of the original SKyloftians. People from Skyloft also excel at flying compared to people from other Islands due to being raised around the Academy.

CRESCENT RESERVOIR

A piece of the surface brought to sky from Faron Woods. The island forms a crescent shape around a large body of water, with the community surrounding the lake and building into a rather large tree. The woods grow around the outside edge of the island. Various smaller islands are scattered around, connected by bridges and ladders, some waterfalling onto eachother. A few Parellas inhabit the lake, as well as some Kikwis in the forests. People from Crescent Reservoir excel at swimming from being raised near the water.

SUNVIEW FOREST

Sunview Forest is an island near Crescent Reservoir, and is literally just a lake with a small forest of beautiful trees and soil around it all acting as a bowl. This island is unsuitable for people to live on, SO YOU CANNOT HAVE YOUR STUDENT COME FROM HERE! Several Tektites inhabit the island.

WATERFALL COVE

Waterfall Cove is an island near Crescent Reservoir. It features a giant ancient tree stump that has been carved into a giant cave. With a huge waterfall pouring out from the top. This island is unsuitable for people to live on, SO YOU CANNOT HAVE YOUR STUDENT COME FROM HERE!

OBSIDIAN RIDGE

A surrounding area of Eldin Volcano. This island is warmer than the others. There is no Volcano or molten lava, but there are mountainous hills, scorched earth, and hardened magma about. The community is split between a giant mountain that spirals upwards, with numerous houses on the inside, and buildings that hang upside from the carved out bottom of the island where the mining takes place. Any foliage is dead or dying, and most homes are tents or are crafted from the earth. Some Mogmas can be found tunneling. Very few have accidentally tunneled out of the side of the island.

MOGMA ISLAND

Mogma Island is a neighboring island near Obsidian Ridge. This island features several more Mogmas that have turned the entire island into their home, with a plethora of tunnels within. The Surface of the island is barren and riddled with holes, and it has several pieces of small land that circle it to catch any Mogmas that tunnel too far. This island is unsuitable for people to live on, SO YOU CANNOT HAVE YOUR STUDENT COME FROM HERE!

GEYSER ROCK

Geyser Rock is the 2nd neighboring island near Obsidian Ridge. It is a largely barren island that has Geyser vents scattered throughout. It has a large drop off that has spiky rocks at the bottom of it, but also has a slim path on the side of the cliff that leads down to a burning hot spring. This island is unsuitable for people to live on, SO YOU CANNOT HAVE YOUR STUDENT COME FROM HERE!

CHRONOS DESERT

A piece of Lanayru Desert. Originally uninhabitable, a large timeshift stone now sits in the very center of the island. Greenery and technology spread out from the middle. The ring around the edge of the island is still uninhabitable desert, but some people have still chosen to make their homes in the sandy areas. Robots inhabit this island, as well as some landfolk that were brought to the sky by Skyloftians while things continued to settle down on the surface. The people who inhabit this island are tan and golden eyed, reminiscent of early Gerudos. Some Sheikah were also said to inhabit the island long ago.

PIRATE BONEYARD

It is one of the many chunks of land that came up with the rest of the islands, and neighbors Chronos Desert. It has several ancient bones and abandoned pirate ships sunken into the sand. It has a unexplored cave that no doubt is littered with traps and treasure. This island is unsuitable for people to live on, SO YOU CANNOT HAVE YOUR STUDENT COME FROM HERE!

UNCHARTED ISLAND

There is an uncharted sky island, uninhabited by any creatures or humanoids. However, the island is loaded with traps and quick sand. It features a sand river that briefly turns into water as it falls off the island due to an embedded time shift stone at the end of the island. This island is unsuitable for people to live on, SO YOU CANNOT HAVE YOUR STUDENT COME FROM HERE!

THE LUMPY PUMPKIN

The best place to hang out besides the bazaar in Skyloft. Under new ownership. They are still proud of that pumpkin chandelier.

BAMBOO ISLAND

A good place to go for practising the speed of your swings, Bamboo seems to be endless.
